March 2024: 85 years of Pelliconi. So many. We are reminded of the beginnings, when we were one of the few companies on the Via Emilia in Ozzano: the rest was all countryside. Plates were transported only by hand, and presses produced only one cap at a time.

It is a flashback that immediately thrusts us into the future: what will we be tomorrow? What innovations will we be able to come up with? What new technologies will help us in this and what new markets will be part of our world?

The answers are in the payoff we gave ourselves for  our 85th birthday: "Innovation, Life." "Life" is a word ready to embrace everything from the small gesture of opening or closing a bottle to the grand gesture of improving the Planet in which we live in. "Innovation" is the tool that enables us to achieve our goals.
A single comma separates the two words, indicating that our innovation will be increasingly at the service of life: to make it better, to make it more beautiful.

A process that starts from afar and takes us even further.

How will a cap interact with tomorrow's intelligence? And most importantly: what will be next after the most innovative cap ever made? The future is still wide open. It takes a great deal of passion to look at it, and solid experience to try to bring it closer to us, through innovations of all kinds. We are talking about materials, products, services, technologies, "experiences"-increasing achievements that, at the same time, manage to do a lot for the planet, for the people, for the environment.

In 2016 we took an important decision: to create a specific department that would work solely and exclusively on innovation. Of course, we also needed a state-of-the-art laboratory to rapidly prototype, test and validate the best ideas that can be turned into products. Today, the Innovation and R&D department counts about twenty people who share our vision and make it more and more accessible every day.

 

The culture of innovation.

Pelliconi invests in the territory, but does not like to talk about boundaries, né in terms of space, né of roles: innovation is physically a department but, before that, it is a concept that permeates every area of the company. Innovation is in people's heads, in their hands, in their ideas; in their energy that leads them to challenge the company itself, to take it even higher.

Involving, sharing, connecting, making departments dialogue to interweave different points of view: the corporate culture of Pelliconi is a culture of innovation, founded on an organizational structure that really wants to be fertile ground for ideas to be born and projects to be cultivated.

Every day we work on the design of materials, on maximum functionality, on ever increasing safety standards, on better product accessibility, on traceability, on the interaction between performance and respect for nature; but these are only a few of our tasks. And tomorrow? Even when caps will be gone, we would like to think that Pelliconi will be there, with other amazing answers.
